Lock Out BOREDOM!!!!!!

Wuz Up wit it Family… It’s ya boy Nolo back to drop some knowledge on hoops.

Now, unless you’ve been living under a rock the past three months, then you know that the NBA is under a league-wide lockout.  Now, I won’t go into the specifics, but just understand that this has been a bitter war between the Billi’s and Milli’s – and of course the Billionaires will eventually win.  My thought process is that no one wants to hear about y’all squabbling over money… Just get the deal done, so we can have some games.  With that said, let’s get into what’s been happening on the periphery of the lockout

Lockout News

The Players and the owners met face-to-face over this past weekend, in an attempt to hammer out a deal.  Of course, there wasn’t any agreement made, but the sides are continuing to talk.  Moreover, the NBA and the Player’s Union are now meeting on a regular basis. The funny part is, looks like there was some beef between Stern and Wade... This can’t end well for my man D’Wayne.

Just to clue you in, we haven’t missed any regular season games, but a portion of the preseason has been canceled.  That’s not even counting missed summer leagues and training camps.

Albeit what the media and conspiracy theorists are sayin, Stern’s saying he isn't ready to cancel the season, yet. Still, D-Day looms.

And Portland is pissed.  Join the group, then…

And the Players have been keepin’ busy too....

I guess Steven Jackson ain’t waitin on that check from the Milwaukee Bucks… Check out his first rap video.

A little known fact: Kobe Bryant was not born in America.  He was actually born in Italy… I guess that explains why he’s so eager to suit up for "home team" the during the lockout.

And with no deal in sight, Derrick Rose is also considering overseas options.

Looks like CP3, LeBron, Melo and KD all kept busy this weekend in North Carolina by participating in the CP3 Foundation All-Star Game.  Nice of them to come out and support the boy Chris Paul, and his non-for profit organization. I hear that boy LeBron was sunnin ‘em like UV rays out there… No doubt

Top pick, Kyrie Irving, isn't trippin' off the lockout?

'Til next time folks: Love, Peace, and CBA.. Haha..

  1. Man, they need to get this deal done ASAP! Then again, the shorter amount of games played, the advantage goes to a veteran team like the Lakers. A fresh Kobe Bryant spells trouble for the league.....LAKERFAN

  2. I agree wholeheartedly, it does favor the veteran teams like Boston, the Lakes, Spurs and Mavs... However, with the NBA letting it be known that they intend to play as many games as feasibly possible, you have to wonder about the overall product this season. That is, the overall play - last time the league missed games in the 98-99 season, they compressed 50 games into 89 days... The average FG % that was 43% and the average score was 93 ppg. While I do think the veteran teams will have a leg up, the overall quality of the games will suffer from the amount of wear on bodies. Playing 4 games in 5 nights aint fun...
